Where: Anywhere, through Zoom.

Cost: $40/ student

Join us on Zoom this fall to learn all about planning, creating, and applying piping for apparel and the home.

If you avoid using piping because you don’t know how to make it as tidy-looking as you would like, Professor King is here to help. He will teach his preferred methods to apply piping to create strong and tidy seams, corners, and finishes. With his tried-and-true techniques, you’ll never have to worry about lines of stitching showing up where you don’t want them!

Learn how to produce clean, consistent piped details, including pockets and buttonholes, every time you sit down to sew.

We will not be posting recordings of this class and students are advised to check that they can readily access Zoom before class.

Sewing along is not required, but is encouraged. Be sure to tag your samples with #kennethdkingonline and #twinsnneedlesevents

Sew-along materials:

  • 2” wide bias strips
  • A zipper foot for your sewing machine
  • 18” wide pieces of scrap fabric for your sample edges (a fat quarter will be enough)
  • Usual sewing supplies such as thread, pins, marking tools, pressing surface and iron, etc.
